Stoke City vs Chelsea - 2 April 2011

Saturday, April 02, 2011

Stoke City will face Chelsea at the Brittania Stadium on 2nd April 2011. The two sides have met in August '10 at Stamford Bridge where Chelsea emerged as 2-0 victors.

The match referee will be Peter Walton. I should be a straightforward victory for Chelsea s they are just too much for Stoke. But Stoke City have won 4 out of their last 6 games. They are just five points outside the relegation zone and it is inevitable for them to get into that zone. But Chelsea are in good form right now and Carlo Ancelloti is confident that he will get the right result at the Brittania Stadium. Much to our amazement, if we combine the last three meetings in terms of goals it is Chelsea 11-0 Stoke City, meaning Chelsea have kept clean sheets in the last three games. Moreover, Fernando Torres is yet to score for the club.

Possible  Squads:
Stoke City: Begovic; Wilson, Shawcross, Huth, Higginbotham; Pennant, Whelan, Delap, Etherington; Walters, Jones.
Chelsea: Cech; Ivanovic, David Luiz, Terry, Cole; Ramires, Essien, Lampard, Malouda; Torres, Drogba.

Prediction: It will be a good test for Chelsea but they should emerge as winners.
Stoke 0-1 Chelsea.
